Mastering Time with AI: My Experience Reviewing the 2024 Mindvalley AI Summit
AI magic at its best! Learn how I (and you can too!) condensed a four-hour AI Summit into a ten-minute summary and a topic deep-dive.
Introduction
Have you ever been deeply interested in a subject but found yourself short on time to fully engage with it? Of course, you have! It happens to all of us. In today's fast-paced world, time is a precious commodity. As an author and advisor who wears many hats, I consider it a great win if I can figure something out in minutes instead of hours.
This is why I have fallen so in love with AI. Let me share a recent example of how AI saved me a significant amount of time.
Background
Last year, I watched the 2023 Mindvalley AI Summit and gained a wealth of knowledge from it. Naturally, I was keen to watch the 2024 AI Summit, which is ongoing at the time of writing this article. However, with Day One of the summit spanning four hours, finding the time to watch all of it was a challenge, even though there were numerous topics of interest.
Initially, I tried to summarize the content using the Glasp Chrome extension, which is brilliant and works well for most YouTube videos up to a certain length (see my previous article on how Glasp works!). However, the nearly four-hour-long Day One session of the 2024 Mindvalley AI Summit resulted in a 38K+ word transcript—too long for Glasp and CGPT-4o to handle effectively.
So, I decided to get a bit more creative. I downloaded the YouTube transcript, copied and pasted it into Word, and then used Poe to upload the 38K+ word-by-word transcript to Poe. I selected the Claude-3-Opus 200K model, which handles up to about 150K words of input and output. I provided an input prompt asking Claude to split the transcript into each of the four sessions, summarize, and highlight what was covered in each session.
Here is the prompt that I used:
Analyze the uploaded transcript and provide me with a moderately detailed summary of the key points. Please separate it into the four individual sessions that occurred and ignore the time stamps Then, after you have done that, provide me with a list of the Top 5 insights for each of the four sessions. Are you able to read this and tell me what the four individual sessions are that comprise this transcript? If so, then continue to generate what I have asked you to do.
It worked brilliantly. Within five minutes, I could review everything at a high level, saving me almost four hours of watching time. The summary provided a solid overview of the entire session, highlighting key points and important discussions. Here is the response I got from Claude-3-Opus-200K.
Claude’s response
Based on the transcript, the four individual sessions that occurred during the 2024 Mindvalley AI Summit are:

Of course, while the summary was incredibly useful, it didn’t provide the depth that watching the entire video would. One particular highlight that caught my attention was the Arrow framework. I wanted more detail on this topic, so I asked Claude to dive deeper and scan the Internet for additional information.
Here’s the prompt I used for that:
This transcript discusses the Arrow framework. I want to learn more about it. Can you describe what is said in the transcript in about 500 words, and also search the Internet for related information and summarize it for me, providing the sources as well?
And the results it returned helped me to achieve a good level of expertise on the topic in less than ten minutes! I’m sharing those results with you below to show you just how easy and powerful AI can be.
Claude’s response:
The Arrow framework, as mentioned in the transcript, is a methodology introduced by Manon Dave, Chief Product Officer of Mindvalley, for using AI in product design, branding, and marketing. The framework consists of four key components: Audience, Representation, Resonance, and Objective (A.R.R.O.W.).
Audience: This component focuses on identifying the target audience for the product or brand and understanding how to communicate with them effectively.
Representation: The representation aspect involves ensuring that the product or brand represents affordable luxury and exudes confidence while maintaining a light-hearted vibe.
Resonance: This component emphasizes the importance of creating an emotional connection with the audience through fun, sophistication, humor, and bold colors.
Objective: The objective component revolves around ensuring that the brand's logo and overall identity are used consistently across all platforms, stand out, and differentiate the brand from its competitors.
Manon Dave demonstrates the application of the Arrow framework by creating a fictitious sunglasses brand called "Sunny's" based on his interaction with an audience member named Ruie. He uses AI tools like Midjourney and Chat GPT to generate brand visuals, slogans, and even an advertisement featuring Ruie and another audience member, Nadin.
Related information from the Internet:
The Arrow framework shares similarities with the well-established "4 Ps of Marketing" (Product, Price, Place, and Promotion) and the "4 Cs of Marketing" (Consumer, Cost, Convenience, and Communication). These frameworks help businesses develop effective marketing strategies by considering key factors that influence consumer behavior and decision-making. The use of AI in marketing and branding is becoming increasingly popular. According to a survey by McKinsey, 56% of companies reported adopting AI in at least one business function, with marketing and sales being among the most common areas of application. (Source: https://www.mckinsey.com/business-functions/mckinsey-analytics/our-insights/global-survey-the-state-of-ai-in-2020)
AI-powered tools like Midjourney and Chat GPT are revolutionizing the creative process in marketing and branding. These tools can generate high-quality visuals, slogans, and even complete brand identities in a matter of minutes, significantly reducing the time and resources required for traditional methods. However, it is essential to note that while AI can assist in the creative process, human input and judgment remain crucial. As Manon Dave mentions in the transcript, the Arrow framework serves as a guide for using AI in collaboration with human creativity and decision-making. (Source: https://hbr.org/2021/07/how-ai-can-augment-human-creativity)
In conclusion, the Arrow framework provides a structured approach to leveraging AI in product design, branding, and marketing. By focusing on the key components of Audience, Representation, Resonance, and Objective, businesses can create compelling brand identities that resonate with their target audience. As AI continues to advance, frameworks like Arrow will become increasingly valuable in guiding the effective use of these powerful tools.
How’s that for being both effective and efficient?
Call to Action
The point I want to emphasize here is that AI can work at any level, from providing a high-level summary that you can digest quickly to diving deep into the details when necessary. Without AI, I could have watched the entire almost four-hour summit to get the same results, but within ten minutes, I had a good overview and a deep-dive into specific topics of interest to the level of detail I required.
This experience showcases the incredible power of AI in studying and researching, allowing me to find what I need in minutes instead of hours. For anyone who values their time and wants to stay updated on complex subjects without dedicating hours, I highly recommend exploring AI tools like Claude. They can transform how you consume and understand information.
